MD Helicopters to Supply New MD 530G Scout Attack Helicopters to Malaysia
After weeks of negotiations, MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) announced that it has finally struck a deal with Malaysia’s Ministry of Defense to provide them with six MD 530 G scout attack helicopters. MDHI intends to begin delivering the helicopters by mid-2016 and complete the order by early 2017.
This newest deal is actually a milestone for MDHI in that they are now the first and the only helicopter manufacturer to complete two Scout Attack Helicopter Program contracts with one year.

The MD 530 was first introduced in mid-2013 and is MDHI’s latest generation of light scout helicopter. Building off of over 50 years of industry leading experience, the MD 350 has a bevy of advanced features including infrared sensors, numerous weapon options (such as guided missiles, unguided missiles, .50 Cal machine guns, etc), and state of the art avionics. MDHI also provides all of its MD 530 fleet customers with long-term service and OEM parts support.
