Saab’s RBS 70 NG Missile System Successfully Tested by Czech Army

In a never before seen move, Saab has fully integrated its RBS 70 MG missile system into a customer’s existing air defense infrastructure. Saab had to work very closely with the Czech Army’s control system OEM Retia in order to successfully integrating the RBS 70 NG. Saab spent years developing its RBS 70 NG missile system, and the end result is a highly flexible long-term solution to dynamic customer requirements. One of the most important features of this new RBS iteration is the automatic tracker upgrade, which allows operators to automatically lock on to enemies and targets. Other benefits of the new system include anti-jamming construction, a highly modular design, high resolution thermal imaging, built-in video records and a complete training simulator. With training in the fields of target attainment, recognition, tracking, launch and guidance, the lessons included with the RBS NG system are designed to enhance the abilities of each and every operator.
