According to India Times, Boeing is planning to offer its F/A-18 fighter jets to India. These F/A-18 jets are a main component of the US Navy. Since India’s government has been pushing for more ‘Make in India’ products, Boeing offered to manufacture these F/A-18 fighter jets in India in hopes of being declared the winner of the multi-billion dollar contract from one of the biggest military spenders. France has announced that they are currently in the process of making a major decision regarding the light and medium helicopters operated and manned by all three branches of its armed forces. Under the current timeline, Paris has until 2020 to begin the acquisition process under the HIL programme otherwise known as Nascent Helicoptere Interarmees Leger. After weeks of negotiations, MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) announced that it has finally struck a deal with Malaysia’s Ministry of Defense to provide them with six MD 530 G scout attack helicopters. A U.S. foreign military sale that was announced by the Pentagon in late December, 2015 has recently been completed and two Gulfstream G550 business jets modified for electronic and surveillance warfare are scheduled to be delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force.
